! ! EXCITING NEWS ON A HENDRA VIRUS VACCINE ! !

CSIRO Australian Animal Health Laboratory in Geelong is committed to commencing a vaccination trial in the second quarter of 2010 using a highly promising vaccine candidate against Hendra Virus.

AAHL estimates that the cost of this trial is around $930,000 over 15 months. They have committed $330,000 and are seeking external funding of $600,000 to complete the trial.

Please go to the "LOTS OF INFO" page to find a link to letters of support addressed to various federal ministers, shadow ministers and to the Premier of Queensland. Please feel free to use them and / or to word your own letter/s of support to these key people in a bid to raise the funds for this trial to proceed.

The workshops are presented by Kate Purvis.
After my personal experience in 2008, I feel very strongly about educating horse owners about Hendra Virus and how to manage the associated risks.

The workshop is FREE to attend however I would ask that you make a donation if you can please to assist in covering costs.
